Key and decipherment

These appendices publish the proposed decipherment of AAV, Segr. Stato, Spagna 1A, ff. 70r–73v. The key is reconstructed from the ciphertext; the Italian text is an editorial reading, with unresolved passages and conjectures identified in its notes.

key.md	Complete regular and dotted key tables, contextual examples, and unresolved marks.
key.txt	Machine-readable assignments; notation is explained in the key tables.
plaintext.md	Edited Italian, organized by folio, with reading notes and an English summary.
alignment.txt	Digit-by-digit alignment of the edition against the corrected transcription, including departures and totals.
alignment-before.txt	The earlier edition's alignment against the public transcription, before the manuscript check; this supplies the first column of article table 5.
reading.txt	Automatic fixed-key reading of the public transcription, with every proposed edit; it includes rejected readings.
plaintext_auto.txt	The automatic reading with mechanically inferred word spaces, before editorial correction.

The transcription supplement supplies both transcriptions and the manuscript decisions. The results supplement reports the computational checks and blind rereadings. The earlier alignment and automatic outputs document earlier states; the proposed text is plaintext.md.
